TNT is adding to the cast of Murder In The First.
Justified alum A.J. Buckley has been tapped for a series regular role on the recently ordered second season of the Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal created crime drama.
Produced in-house by TNT Originals, Murder In The First follows one murder case across the whole season. The first season followed San Francisco homicide detectives Terry English and Hildy Mulligan as they investigated two seemingly unrelated murders, which in fact connected to a Silicon Valley wunderkind. Plot details for the second season have not been released.
Owing to the set up of the show, the vast majority of the cast from the first season – including Harry Potter star Tom Felton – are not expected to return for the second season. So far the only cast members from season one confirmed to be returning are series leads Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson, who play Detective English and Detective Mulligan, respectively.
Per Deadline, A.J. Buckley has signed on to play Marty Junior Mulligan, Detective Milligan’s brother who was recently transferred into her unit. Casting for further series regular roles for the new season is currently underway, with production set to commence in 2015 for a premiere on TNT in the Summer.
