History has set a premiere date for Sons Of Liberty.
The revolutionary war miniseries, which stars Breaking Bad‘s Dean Norris, will air across three nights, beginning with the first two-hours on Sunday January 25th at 9/8c, TVWise has learned.
Sons of Liberty follows a defiant and radical group of young men – Sam Adams, John Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock and Joseph Warren – as they band together in secrecy to change the course of history and make America a nation. Calling themselves the Sons of Liberty, they light the spark that ignited a revolution. They were looking for equality, but they found something greater: Independence.
Steohen David and David C. White penned the scripts for the miniseries, which was produced by Stephen David Entertainment & A+E Studios and directed by Kari Skogland. It features a large cast which includes Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia), Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist), Michael Raymond James (Jack Reacher), Rafe Spall (Prometheus), Henry Thomas (Gangs of New York), Marton Csokas (The Lord of the Rings), Emily Berrington (24: Live Another Day) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad).
Speaking at the time the miniseries was commissioned, History’s General Manager Dirk Hoogstra said: “From the Boston Tea Party to the Declaration of Independence, Sons of Liberty will tell the rebellious story of America’s greatest fight for freedom. History continues its commitment to bring viewers historical drama based on real events that have shaped our past, while capturing the spirit of the time. Adams, Hancock, Revere, are famous names in our history books, and Sons of Liberty will bring their stories to life.”
