Discovery Channel UK has given the green-light to Supertruckers, a six episode ob-doc series about a family run hauling company.
Supertruckers follows Steve and Sarah King as they run the hauling company set up by their father when they were children. The company now consists of a team of more than twenty-five, including Steve and Sarah’s spouses, who are responsible for hauling some of the biggest, strangest and most extreme cargos across the UK and Europe.
The series is being produced for Discovery by Lion Television, with Jeremy Mills and Discovery Networks International’s Victoria Noble serving as the executive producers. Supertruckers is expected to air on Discovery Channel in the UK and Ireland early next year.
“We meet some really fantastic characters in Supertruckers, from practical joker Sully, to the unflappable Kev”, said Elizabeth McIntyre, Discovery Networks International’s Vice-President of Production & Development, Factual. “The Kings are experts in their field and undertake some of the most ambitious haulage jobs around. ”
