BBC One Sets Premiere Date For 'Citizen Khan' Christmas Special – TVWise

The Citizen Khan Christmas special will premiere on BBC One on Friday December 19th at 8:30pm, it has been announced.
Created by Adil Ray, Citizen Khan is set in the capital of British Pakistan – Sparkhill, Birmingham – and follows the trials and tribulations of self-appointed Muslim community leader Mr Khan and his long suffering family. The comedy series is produced by BBC In-house Comedy and stars Adil Ray as Mr Khan, Shobu Kapoor as Mrs Khan, Maya Sondhi as Shazia Khan and Bhavna Limbachia as Alia Khan.
In this year’s Christmas special, 10 months has passed since Shazia and Amjad’s wedding and Mr Khan is feeling extremely festive – he’s even got a new Christmas suit. And what’s more, this year, he’s been given the honour of placing the star on top of the Sparkhill inter-faith Christmas Tree. But when the whole family gathers at the Khan house to head out to the ceremony, it turns out that Shazia has other plans, and a frantic chain of events is set in motion, in what can only be described as The Greatest Pakistani Christmas Story Ever Told.
