Starz has renewed their newest comedy offering Survivor’s Remorse, less than a week after the series premiered on the premium cable network.
Survivor’s Remorse follows Cam Calloway, a basketball phenom in his early 20’s who is suddenly thrust into the limelight after signing a multi-million dollar contract with a professional basketball team in Atlanta.
The comedy series hails from LeBron James, Tom Werner, Mike O’Malley, Maverick Carter & Paul Wachter and stars Jessie T. Usher (Level Up), Ronreaco Lee (Glory), Erica Ash (Scary Movie 5), Tichina Arnold (Everybody Hates Chris) and Teyonah Parris (They Came Together).The network has ordered 10 episodes for the show’s second season – up from the six episodes the cabler picked up for season one.
Survivor’s Remorse debuted on select platforms including Facebook and the series’ website a week ahead of the series premiere on Starz last Saturday. The series premiere on Starz drew an ok audience of 1.3 million viewers, across various airings and platforms.

The early renewal for Survivor’s Remorse continues a longstanding trend at the network, who have previously handed out early renewals to such series as Boss, Black Sails, Sparatcus and Da Vinci’s Demons.
