The third season of The CW’s drama series Arrow will receive its UK premiere on Sky1 on Thursday October 30th at 8pm, it has been announced.
Based on the DC character Green Arrow and developed for US television by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg, Arrow follows Oliver Queens, a millionaire playboy who, after being stranded on the island of Lian Yu for the past five years, returns to Starling City and assumes the identity of a hooded vigilante to go after the worst criminals and restore the city to its former glory. The drama series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes and Paul Blackthorne.
In the opening episode of the show’s third season, titled The Calm, crime in Starling City is at an all-time low thanks to the Arrow and his team, which leads Oliver to think that he can finally balance being both the Arrow and Oliver Queen and asks Felicity out on a date. However, when a new villain (Peter Stormare) emerges, who has claimed the name Vertigo from the recently deceased Count, Oliver is caught off-guard and someone close to him is hurt. Oliver and a newly suited up Roy take on the Count.
