Billy Burke Lands Guest Role On TNT's 'Major Crimes' – TVWise

24 and Revolution star Billy Burke has reportedly landed a guest role on TNT’s flagship drama series Major Crimes.
Created by James Duff, Major Crimes follows the major crimes unit of the LAPD under the command of Captain Sharon Raydor. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Phillip P. Keene, Kearran Giovanni, Graham Patrick Martin, Nadine Velazquez, Robert Gossett and Jonathan Del Arco.
Per TV Line, Burke will reprise his role as serial killer Phillip Stroh in the two-part season finale in early January. Though often mentioned, this will mark Burke’s first appearance on Major Crimes. He originated the Stroh character on The Closer, with his storyline serving as something of a bridge between that show and spin-off Major Crimes.
On the The Closer series finale, Rusty Beck (Major Crimes series regular Graham Patrick Martin) witnessed Stroh disposing of a body in Griffith Park. His statement to the LAPD, enabled Deputy Chief Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) to close the book on the elusive serial killer and served as the backbone of Rusty’s storyline on Major Crimes – with his status as a witness being the initial reason Captain Raydor (Mary McDonnell) took him in.
