Amazon Prime Instant Video has set a return date for Ripper Street.

The UK arm of the streaming service has announced that period drama will premiere with a double bill on Friday November 14th at 9pm. Subsequent episodes will then be made available at 9pm on Fridays though Boxing Day (December 26th), when the season finale will be available to stream.

From Tiger Aspect Productions and Lookout Point, Ripper Street stars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg & MyAnna Buring and follows the notorious ‘H’ Division, the police precinct charged with keeping order on the meanest beat imaginable: late Victorian Whitechapel. Season three is set in 1894 and opens with the violent heist of a goods train which sets off a cataclysmic chain reaction that reunites Reid, Drake, Jackson and Long Susan, before spiralling uncontrollably toward a conclusion that will leave them changed forever

The third season of Ripper Street is the first to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Instant Video UK and comes after the streaming service revived the period piece after BBC execs initially cancelled the series late last year. Per the terms of the deal, Amazon UK gets an exclusive first window, followed by a linear broadcast on BBC One and BBC America in 2015. The episodes that air on Amazon will be extended cuts which include footage that will not be shown on BBC One.

“In its design, Series Three of Ripper Street was always meant to be our most ambitious yet and we are delighted that Amazon has given us the creative freedom to make good on that ambition,” said series creator Richard Warlow. “With no restrictions on either the content or the length of each episode, we have been able to reassemble our magnificent cast and pitch them into a suit of stories which we hope will delight the millions of fans who, thanks to this unique partnership, will now be able to enjoy the show on Amazon Prime Instant Video this year, then on the BBC, and around the rest of the world, in 2015.”

“We know there are a huge number of fans out there who want more of the gripping storylines we’ve come to expect from BAFTA-nominated writer Richard Warlow and we’re delighted to be bringing the third series of this show to our customers exclusively this autumn” added Chris Bird, Head of Content Acquisition at Amazon. “From what we’ve seen from the scripts and first edit it’s clear that this series has raised the bar, we’re confident that Ripper Street fans will be thrilled with what they see.”
