USA Network has set a premiere date for their newest original comedy series Benched.

The NBCU owned cable network has announced that the half-hour comedy starring Happy Endings alum Eliza Coupe will premiere on Tuesday October 28th at 10:30/9:30c. The series will close out the cabler’s Tuesday night schedule, which consists of a two hour block of Modern Family from 8pm to 10pm and Chrisley Knows Best at 10/9c.

Benched is a single-camera half-hour courtroom comedy that focuses on Nina (Eliza Coupe), a dedicated, career-driven corporate attorney who has a very public nervous breakdown after getting passed up for an expected promotion, and finds herself working as a public defender. Her personal and professional worlds are turned upside down when she joins the ranks of the legal world’s underdogs and very quickly realizes that the law isn’t quite as fair as she once thought.

Created by Michaela Watkins and Damon Jones, the half-hour comedy is produced by The Mark Gordon Company & ABC Signature – ABC Studios’ new boutique division which caters to cable and online platforms – and stars Eliza Coupe, Jay Harrington, Oscar Nunez, Maria Bamford, Jolene Purdy and Carter MacIntyre. The executive producers are John Enbom, Mark Gordon, Andrea Shay, Michaela Watkins and Damon Jones.
