Monty Python’s Best Bits (Mostly) explores the nation’s favourite Monty Python sketches and the effect that they have had on the comedy world. It will also include the very best footage from their TV series and insights from the celebrities listed above.
The five part series is being produced by Phil McIntyre Television and was commissioned by UKTV’s Director of Commissioning Richard Watsham. The series producers are Lindsay Jex and Martin Dance; while Hilary Rosen and Lucy Ansbro are serving as the executive producers.
Monty Python’s Best Bits (Mostly), which got a green-light back in June, is one of a number of programmes commissioned by UKTV for a special Monty Python season on Gold.
