Alexa Davalos To Star In Frank Spotnitz’s Amazon Pilot ‘The Man In The High Castle’

Hunted creator Frank Spotnitz’s new drama pilot The Man In The High Castle has found its Female lead.

Mob City alum Alexa Davalos is to star in the drama which is being produced as part of Amazon’s fourth pilot season, Deadline reports.

Based on Phillip K. Dick’s novel, The Man In The High Castle is set in the 1960′s in a world where Nazi Germany and Japan defeated the allies and won the Second World War. The US is under occupation by the Axis powers, where fascism rules and the few surviving Jews are forced to hide under assumed names.

Alexa Davalos will play Juliana, a resident of Japanese occupied San Francisco whose life is changed forever when she witnesses a Japanese soldier shoot and kill her half-sister Trudy. She joins Pretty Little Liars alum Luke Kleintank, who was recently cast as the male lead in the Amazon Studios pilot.

The project was initially set up at Syfy last year, who were developing it as a four-hour mini-series. Amazon subsequently stepped in and handed a pilot order to the project, which is being produced by Scott Free Productions, back in July. Spotnitz penned the script and will serve as an executive producer alongside Ridley Scott.
