SundanceTV has renewed their critically acclaimed original series Rectify, TVWise has learned.

The renewal comes ahead of the second season finale on August 21st at 9/8c. The show’s third season, which is once again expected to consist of 10 episodes, will air in 2015.
“’Rectify’ has evolved into a show much loved by critics and fans”, said Sarah Barnett, President of Sundance TV. “As SundanceTV’s first scripted series, it’s gratifying to see such distinctive and unusual storytelling embraced with such passion. Ray McKinnon is a true television auteur, and we can’t wait to see where he takes us next.”

Daniel’s unexpected release not only throws his family into disarray, it ripples out to all the people connected to his case. Like a deadly spark, Daniel’s release reignites the mystery, the power plays, and the questionable justice that condemned him. The drama series stars Aden Young, Abigail Spencer, J. Smith Cameron, Luke Kirby, Clayne Crawford, Adelaide Clemens, Bruce McKinnon, Jake Austin Walker, Michael O’Neill and Hal Holbrook.
