Peter MacNicol has joined the cast of CBS’ CSI spin-off CSI: Cyber as a series regular, TVWise has learned.
CSI Cyber follows FBI Special Agent Avery Ryan, who runs the bureau’s Cyber Crime Division in Quantico, VA. Ryan is responsible for solving high-octane crimes that start in the mind, live on-line, and play out into the real world.
Peter MacNicol has been cast as Stavros Sifter, an Assistant Director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation based out of the agency’s headquarters in Washington D.C. He is described as an agency “insider” who is Special Agent Ryan’s supervisor and also serves as a clearing house between FBI Cyber and all other branches of government
MacNicol, repped by Thruline Entertainment, joins a cast which is being toplined by Medium alum Patricia Arquette and also includes Charley Koontz (Community). His previous television credits include an Emmy Award winning turn on Ally McBeal as well as Numb3rs, 24 and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
