Eva Longoria Lands Recurring Role On Fox's 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' – TVWise

Desperate Housewives alum Eva Longoria has landed a recurring role on the second season of Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, TVWise has learned.
Created by Dan Goor and Mike Schur, Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a diverse group of detectives in a police precinct in New York City. The comedy series is about what happens when a talented, but carefree, detective gets a new captain with a lot to prove. The comedy series is produced by Universal Television and stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio and Chelsea Peretti
Eva Longoria will recur in a three-episode arc as Sophia, a defense attorney who catches Jake’s (Andy Samberg) attention when she faces off against him in court. She is the latest guest star confirmed for the show’s second season, which premieres on Sunday September 28th. Other guest stars this season include The Closer alum Kyra Sedgwick, Parks & Recreation‘s Jenny Slate and NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens.
The first season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine wrapped with a surprising twist as Jake was asked to go undercover for a major FBI investigation. He said his goodbyes to the precinct, and finally confessed his “romantic-styles” affection for Detective Amy Santiago, the unit’s honorary straight arrow. In the show’s second season, Captain Holt finds himself face-to-face with his longtime nemesis (Kyra Sedgwick) as the NYPD goes through administration changes.
