Alison Morris To Lead WBITD's UK Sales Operation – TVWise

Warner Bros. has promoted sales executive Alison Morris to Vice President of Warner Bros International Distribution UK & Ireland, a key role which will see her assume leadership of WBITD’s UK sales operation.
Alison Morris is a 15 year industry veteran who has been with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution since 2007, serving as Vice President of Sales for the UK and EIRE. Prior to WBITD, she held key roles at Channel 4 and BBC Worldwide.
She succeeds Chris Law, who is departing as head of the UK sales operation to segue to a position overseeing Digital Strategy for Europe. Morris will report to Josh Berger, President & Managing Director of Warner Bros. UK, Ireland & Spain, and Robert Blair, EVP, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, EMEA.
In her new role as the head of the UK sales operation, Alison Morris will be responsible for managing the sales of WB owned film, television, animation and short-form content to both linear and on-demand broadcasters in the UK.
As the new head of WBITD’s UK division, Morris will also have a key role in securing sales for the studio’s new US scripted series for the upcoming Fall season, all of which were unveiled to buyers at the LA Screenings in May. Those series include Constantine, The Flash, Gotham and Stalker, amongst others.
“Alison is an immensely talented executive, one who has consistently shown first-rate leadership and commercial skills in what is an increasingly complex and competitive UK market”, said Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President of Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution. “She has a track record second to none and the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.”
