Brooklyn Decker (Friends With Better Lives) and Ethan Embry (Once Upon A Time) have joined the cast of Netflix 13 episode comedy series Grace & Frankie, which is being toplined by Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.
Grace & Frankie focuses on nemeses Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) who are facing the last chapter of their lives, though not in the way they expected. When their husbands announce they are in love with each other and plan to get married, the women find their lives both turned upside down and – to their dismay – permanently intertwined. Eventually, to their surprise, they find they have each other.
Brooklyn Decker has been cast as Mallory, Grace’s younger daughter; while Ethan Embry will play Coyote, Frankie’s son. The duo join a cast which, in addition to series leads Lily Tomlin (The West Wing) and Jane Fonda (The Newsroom), also includes Martin Sheen (Anger Management) and Sam Waterston (Law & Order).
The 13 episode series is Netflix’s first foray into live-action scripted comedy and hails from Friends creator Marta Kaufman, Howard J. Morris & Paula Weinstein. Skydance Productions is producing Grace & Frankie, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross serving as executive producers. The comedy is slated to premiere in 2015 in all territories where Netflix has a presence.
