WGN America has today released a trailer for their upcoming 13 episode original drama series Manhattan.
Manhattan is set against the backdrop of the greatest clandestine race against time in the history of science – the mission to build the world’s first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico – and follows the brilliant but flawed scientists and their families as they attempt to co-exist in a world where secrets and lies infiltrate every aspect of their lives.
The drama, which is set to premiere on Sunday July 27th, features a large cast which includes John Benjamin Hickey (The Good Wife), Olivia Williams (Rushmore), Daniel Stern (Home Alone), Ashley Zukerman (Rush), Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards), Katja Herbers (De Storm), Alexia Fast (Jack Reacher), Christopher Denham (Shutter Island), Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones), Michael Chernus (Orange Is The New Black) and Eddie Shin (Men of a Certain Age).
Manhattan is WGN America’s second original drama series and follows on from Salem, which premiered earlier this year and has already been renewed for a second season. The 13 episode series was created by Sam Shaw and is produced by Skydance Television, Tribune Studios and Lionsgate Television. The executive producers are Sam Shaw, Thomas Schlamme, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross and Dustin Thomason.
