Andrew W. Marlowe To Step Down As 'Castle' Showrunner – TVWise

Andrew W. Marlowe is stepping down as showrunner on Castle.
The veteran writer/producer will not continue in the post for the seventh season of the series he created, but will maintain a day-to-day presence on the series while he develops new projects for ABC Studios, where he is currently under an overall deal.
Long-time Castle scribe David Amann to succeed Marlowe as showrunner for season seven. “Over the past four seasons, David has proven himself to be a tremendous leader and a great steward of our show’s unique voice”, said Andrew W. Marlowe. “I’m excited to continue our creative collaboration as he assumes his new responsibilities.”
The ABC drama recently wrapped its sixth season, which ranks as the show’s most watched run to-date. The series, which follows Richard Castle and Kate Beckett as they solve crimes in NYC, stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic and is set to return to ABC this Fall in its regular Monday night 10pm time-slot.
