ABC has unveiled details of their Fall schedule, ahead of their Upfront presentation in New York this afternoon.

The network has taken risks in some areas, stuck with what worked in others and have even learned from the mistake they made last season with the Once Upon A Time spin-off Once Upon A Time In Wonderland.

Sundays will remain essentially the same with Once Upon A Time, Resurrection and Revenge forming a three hour drama block. Sticking with what works, the network is keeping Castle on Monday nights.

The network is shaking things up on Tuesdays, shifting SHIELD to 9pm, where it will lead into freshman supernatural drama Forever at 10pm. The network is also slotting in a one-hour comedy block in front of SHIELD, that consists of Selfie and Manhattan Love Story.

Staying with comedy, ABC is giving Black-ish a great launch platform with the post Modern Family slot on Wednesday nights; while Last Man Standing is staying put on Fridays where it will be paired with Cristela.

Power producer Shonda Rhimes, who just inked a rich four-year overall deal with ABC Studios, is getting her own night on ABC’s schedule. ABC has slotted Thursday’s to showcase Rhime’s three series: Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder. Slotting Scandal at 9pm ensures a showdown between the DC set drama and NBC’s The Blacklist come midseason.

As noted above, ABC also seems to have learned from there Once Upon A Time In Wonderland error and will be using Agent Carter to bridge the gaps between the Fall finale and Winter premiere of SHIELD. The network is employing the same move with Galavant, which will bridge the runs of Once Upon A Time

Meanwhile, series not appearing on the Fall schedule, and as such are benched until midseason, include: Agent Carter, Fresh Off The Boat, Secrets & Lies, Galavant, American Crime and The Whispers.
