ITV has today released the first images (see below) of the cast for the second season of Broadchurch.
The show’s second season begins production next month and will star David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Vicky McClure, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Will Mellor, Arthur Darvill, Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Without A Trace), James D’Arcy (Cloud Atlas), Eve Myles (Torchwood) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
ITV is not confirming plot details for the show’s second season, though it is expected to deal with the fallout from the season one finale. Broadchurch is produced by Kudos Film & TV and Imaginary Friends. The executive producers are Chris Chibnall and Jane Featherstone; James Strong is attached to direct.
“We’re delighted Broadchurch is back in production, but we’re remaining tight-lipped about how the story develops,” said ITV’s Director of Drama Steve November earlier this month. “Suffice to say Chris has delivered as always and the scripts are just as exciting as the first series.”
