HBO Sets Premiere Dates For 'The Leftovers' & 'True Blood' – TVWise

HBO is giving upcoming drama The Leftovers a strong launching pad.
The cabler announced today that they will launch the 10 episode first season of the drama on Sunday June 15th at 10/9c, immediately after Game of Thrones, which wraps its fourth season that same night. The final season of True Blood will bow the following week, on Sunday June 22nd at 9/8c.
Based on the novel of the same name by Tom Perrotta, The Leftovers is set just after the apocalypse. When the Rapture happened, but not quite like it’s supposed to. This is the story of the people who didn’t make the cut … and a world that will never be the same. The pilot episode was written by Perrotta and Lindelof. The series is being produced by Adventure Corps in association with Warner Bros. Television and stars Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Carrie Coon, Emily Meade, Amanda Warren, Ann Dowd, Michael Gaston, Max Carver, Charlie Carver, Annie Q, Paterson Joseph and Brad Leland.
