Hit Entertainment’s Fireman Sam is to return to specialist preschool TV channel Cartoonito for it ninth season, Turner UK has announced. The show’s ninth season is set to premiere on Saturday April 5th at 8am.
Fireman Sam has been an iconic animated series since it was introduced on the BBC in the 1980s. The new CGI version saw the series lured away from the BBC following a deal with Hit Entertainment and since its launch on Cartoonito in 2008, Fireman Sam has proved to be a ratings hit; managing a monthly audience of 1.5 million preschooler’s aged 4 years and up.
“Fireman Sam has been a tremendous success story for Cartoonito, consistently driving our ratings and ranking #1 on the channel since launch back in 2008. Furthermore, the show’s popularity continues to grow today, driving values of friendship and teamwork in a fun and entertaining way”, said Sean Gorman, Director of Kids’ Channels UK, Turner Broadcasting. “We are absolutely thrilled to be launching the ninth season on Cartoonito this April.
