Bebe Neuwirth Joins CBS' Drama Pilot 'Madam Secretary' – TVWise

Cheers and Frasier alum Bebe Neuwirth has landed a supporting role on CBS upcoming drama pilot Madam Secretary, which follows the exploits of a female Secretary of State.
Neuwirth, repped by ICM Parnters, has been cast as Nadine, the Secretary of State’s Chief of Staff. In addition to her stints as Lilith on Cheers and spinoff Frasier, the Emmy award winner has appeared on such TV shows as Law & Order: Trial By Jury, The Good Wife and Blue Bloods. Bebe Neuwirth joins a cast which is being led by Tea Leoni and also includes Tim Daly (Private Practice) and Geoffrey Arend (Body of Proof).
Penned by Barbara Hall, Madam Secretary follows the personal and professional life of a maverick female Secretary of State (Leoni) as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life.
