The Wire and Treme alum Wendell Pierce has joined the cast of Showtime’s LA fixer drama Ray Donovan in a recurring role, TVWise has learned.

Pierce, who more recently starred on the short-lived NBC comedy The Michael J. Fox Show, has been cast as Mr. Keith, a down on his luck parole officer who gets a payoff from Ray.

The show’s 12 episode second season, which was ordered shortly after Ray Donovan proved to be a ratings hit for Showtime, is currently in production in Los Angeles, with the network eyeing a Summer premiere.

Other guest stars for season two include Hank Azaria (Huff), Sherilyn Fenn (Magic City) and Vinessa Shaw (Vegas).
