Scott Bakula (Star Trek: Enterprise, Men of a Certain Age) is to topline a potential NCIS spin-off set in New Orleans, TVWise has learned.

Bakula has been cast as NCIS Special Agent Pride, who leads the team at the center of the spin-off. The character is said to embody New Orleans and is driven by the need to do what’s right.

This potential spin-off, which is currently untitled, will be set in the NCIS New Orleans field office, which handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle. The spin-off is being piloted as a back door pilot which will air as a two-part episode of NCIS in the spring. CBS Television Studios is producing with Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon serving as executive producers.
