Game of Throne alum Michelle Fairley has joined the cast of Fox’s upcoming 12 episode limited event series 24: Live Another Day in a recurring role, TVWise has learned.
Fairley, who starred in the first three seasons of HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones, has been cast as Margot, a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist. Her casting comes after Judy Davis, who was originally cast to play that part, pulled out of the role after “personal family matters” prevented her from making the trip to London, where the series is being produced.
Penned by Howard Gordon & David Fury, 24: Live Another Day will be set and shot in London and follows the exploits of Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) who, now in exile, is being hunted by a CIA team when he learns of and attempts to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever. The limited event series, which Fox said could be followed by additional such entries in the coming years, is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Entertainment & Teakwood Lane Productions and stars Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver, William Devane, Stephen Fry, Benjamin Bratt, Giles Matthey, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Wincott, Colin Salmon, Tate Donovan and Yvonne Strahovski.
