Colin Salmon (James Bond, Arrow) is the latest British actor to board Fox’s upcoming 12 episode event series 24: Live Another Day.
Per Deadline, Salmon has been cast as General Coburn, an intelligent, powerful and fiercely loyal man. His casting comes shortly after Stephen Fry joined the cast of the series as British Prime Minister Trevor Davies and as one of Salmon’s recent projects, dramedy Team Panache, is set to be picked up at MTV UK. Production on 24: Live Another Day recently got underway in London, with fox eyeing a May premiere.
Penned by Howard Gordon & David Fury, 24: Live Another Day will be set and shot in London and follows the exploits of Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) who, now in exile, is being hunted by a CIA team when he learns of and attempts to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever. The limited event series, which Fox said could be followed by additional such entries in the coming years, is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Entertainment & Teakwood Lane Productions and stars Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver, William Devane, Stephen Fry, Benjamin Bratt, Giles Matthey, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Wincott, Judy Davis, Tate Donovan and Yvonne Strahovski.
