JFK’s Secret Killer: The Evidence – known as JFK: The Smoking Gun when it aired on ReelzChannel in the US and on SBS in Australia – will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Wednesday November 13th at 9pm, it has been announced.
JFK’s Secret Killer: The Evidence is a documentary which follows veteran police detective Colin McLaren, who spent four years on a forensic cold case investigation into JFK’s assassination. What he had, and other investigators did not, was modern technology and access to all the evidence, facts and eye-witness testimony. Now McLaren believe he has found the “smoking gun” and solved a 50 year old mystery. The documentary features dramatic re-enactments to take audiences back to that tragic day in Dallas at Dealey Plaza, to Parkland Hospital, where the president was pronounced dead; to the Bethesda Naval Hospital, where the autopsy was conducted; and to the conclusions of the Warren Commission, which remain controversial to this day. JFK: The Smoking Gun was produced by Muse Entertainment and Cordell/Jigsaw/Zapruder. Malcolm McDonald directed the documentary, with Michael Prupas and Simon Egan serving as executive producers.
