Robert Powell To Narrate Channel 5's 'The Bible' – TVWise

When mini-series The Bible airs on Channel 5 later this year it will feature a different narrator than was used on the cut of the series that was transmitted on the History channel in the United States earlier this year.
Channel 5 has announced that when the series airs in December it will be narrated by Robert Powell, who is well known for his roles in in Jesus of Nazareth, The Thirty-Nine Steps (1978), Holby City and The Detectives. The original cut as used by History in the US was narrated by veteran actor Keith David.
From reality producer Mark Burnett, The Bible is a five part/ten hour docudrama series which re-tells famous stories as they unfold and reveals new insights into these iconic characters in context of the Bible. The series will feature some of the most famous stories ever written from Noah’s Ark and the Exodus to Daniel in the Lion’s Den to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. The mini-series was produced by Lightworkers Media and Hearst Entertainment & Syndication.
