Less than a yeat fter 30 Rock ended its seven year run on NBC, Tina Fey is getting another comedy on network television. Following a heated bidding war, Fox has landed Fey’s new (and currently untitled) multi-camera comedy project with a straight-to-series order.
The untitled comedy is set at a women’s college who begin to accept male students for the very first time. Universal Television, where Fey is under an overall deal, is set to produce. The executive producers are Tina Fey, David Milner, Matt Hubbard and Robert Carlock. Hubbard is also set to write.
This marks the first project to land a straight-to-series order for next season and also has the distinction of being the second Universal Television produced series to land at Fox. The studio, which only recently ventured back into producing for other networks beyond its sister net NBC, also produced The Mindy Project for Fox, which is set to return for it second season this fall.
