ITV has ordered a new celebrity entertainment series titled Your Face Sounds Familiar. Based on Endemol’s hit format, with adaptations having been sold to over 20 countries, Your Face Sounds Familiar is set to launch on ITV this Summer.

Your Face Sounds Familiar features is a talent competition where a regular cast of celebrities take on a new identity as an iconic music performer. Every week, the celebrities face the ‘Randomiser’ to decide who they’ll be becoming the following week. Whether it’s an older or a younger artist, or even a star of the opposite sex, the ultimate decision is down to the Randomiser, guaranteeing hilarious and dramatic results. The celebrities will have to perform in front of a panel of judges and will have to impress as they sing and dance their way through to the finale. In this series, no-one gets evicted, instead each contestant is awarded points which will be scored on a leader board. The one with the most points at the end of each show will receive a cash prize for a charity of their choice with a further grand prize pot for the series champion. Your Face Sounds Familiar will be hosted by Alesha Dixon and Paddy McGuinness, with Julian Clary and Emma Bunton set as the judges. The series is produced by Endemol’s Initial, with Nic McNeilis and David Staite serving as executive producers.

“Our viewers can expect incredible transformations, great music, unforgettable performances and a lot of laughs in this hilarious new show where just about anything can happen”, said Claire Zolkwer, ITV’s Commissioning Editor for Comedy and Entertainment.

While Nick Samwell-Smith, Creative Director at Initial, added; “Your Face Sounds Familiar is the latest hit comedy entertainment format from Endemol, packed with fun, spectacle, and a great  sense of humour. With well known celebrities delivering iconic classic and modern music performances each week, we’re very excited to be making it for ITV this summer.”
