The Michael J. Fox Show (formerly Untitled Michael J. Fox Comedy) was the first series to be picked up for the 2013-2014 season by any network. Subject to heavy bidding from multiple networks, the Sony Pictures Television produced series landed a 22 episode straight-to-series order from NBC back in August 2012.
