TNT Renews 'Dallas' For Season 3 – TVWise

TNT has renewed Dallas for a third season fo 15 episodes, slated to air in 2014. Despite the death of Larry Hagman and a dip in ratings compared to the show’s first season, the pickup had been expected. There is still no word on the fates of TNT’s bubble shows Monday Mornings or Southland.
A continuation of the late 1970′s series of the same name, Dallas centers on the Ewing clan, an enormously wealthy Texas family whose sibling rivalries, romantic betrayals, corruption and even murder are truly legendary. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell and Kuno Becker.
“Dallas has built a passionately loyal following with its expertly woven storylines, clever twists and turns, and numerous outstanding performances by a cast that spans generations,” said Michael Wright, President & Head of Programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “Although we said goodbye to Larry Hagman and his iconic character J.R. Ewing this year, Dallas has many more stories left to tell, and the Ewing clan will continue to honor J.R.’s memory by keeping its audience surprised and delighted.”
