CBS has renewed its veteran comedy series Two And A Half Men for an eleventh season.
The network had previously indicated that they would be renewing the series for the 2013-2014 season, with the only sticking point being that the contracts for the main cast were up this season. Prior to the official renewal, CBS and Warner Bros secured contract extensions for Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer, while word is that Angus T. Jones will not be returning as a member of the main cast and will now appear in a recurring role.
Two And A Half Men joins Blue Bloods, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, NCIS: Los Angeles, Person of Interest, 2 Broke Girls & Mike & Molly, all of which have already been renewed by CBS for next season. There is still no official word on the fates of CSI: NY, Golden Boy, Rules of Engagement or Vegas, but the latest chatter is that all 4 will be cancelled, paving the way for 3 new drama series and potentially 2 new sitcoms from the network’s current roster of pilots.
