Singer Pixie Lott made her television acting debut in the BBC One period detective drama Inspector George Gently, portraying Megan Webb, an entertainer at a 1960s holiday camp, in the episode titled “Blue for Bluebird,” which aired on February 13, 2014 .

This role marked a significant step in Lott’s career, transitioning from music to acting.​

In an interview with RTÉ, Lott expressed her enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I love the fact that Inspector George Gently is a period drama set in the ’60s, and I can’t wait to play the role of Megan” .

Series producer Matthew Bird also praised her involvement, noting that she would bring “something very special to the role” .​

The episode’s plot centers around a murder investigation at the holiday camp, where Gently and his partner Bacchus delve into the circumstances surrounding the death of one of the entertainers.

Lott’s character, Megan, plays a pivotal role in the narrative, adding depth to the storyline.
