Singer Pixie Lott made her television acting debut in the BBC One period detective drama Inspector George Gently, portraying Megan Webb, an entertainer at a 1960s holiday camp, in the episode titled “Blue for Bluebird,” which aired on February 13, 2014 .
This role marked a significant step in Lott’s career, transitioning from music to acting.
In an interview with RTÉ, Lott expressed her enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I love the fact that Inspector George Gently is a period drama set in the ’60s, and I can’t wait to play the role of Megan” .
Series producer Matthew Bird also praised her involvement, noting that she would bring “something very special to the role” .
The episode’s plot centers around a murder investigation at the holiday camp, where Gently and his partner Bacchus delve into the circumstances surrounding the death of one of the entertainers.
