LOVEFiLM has struck a content deal with Saban Brands that will give members of the streaming site access to every episode of TV series Power Rangers and the live-action feature film Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. This deal is the latest in a long line of content deals that LOVEFiLM has struck in recent months. The streaming service has previously inked deals with DHX Media, Aardman, Miramax, Twentieth Century Fox, NBCUniversal, 4oD, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros., ABC, BBC, Studiocanal and Entertainment One (eOne).
Speaking of the deal, Chris Bird, Director od Film Strategy at LOVEFiLM, said: “We already have a fantastic range of kids content on offer for our younger TV and film fans. Power Rangers – celebrating 20 years this year – has a huge global following and is popular across the generations. This deal with Saban Brands will bring the series to a whole new audience of children and will also ensure that grown-ups can catch up and reminisce on their favourite episodes instantly.”
