In keeping with tradition, CBS has renewed the majority of its prime-time line up. The network has renewed (as TVWise reported was likely) the vast majority of its primetime schedule, which encompasses 7 dramas (1 freshman, 6 returning), 2 comedies, 2 newsmagazines and 3 reality series.
Those shows to have received early renewals are drama series Blue Bloods, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, NCIS: Los Angeles and Person of Interest and comedy series 2 Broke Girls & Mike & Molly. Word is that a renewal for Two And A Half Men and Criminal Minds is still being hammered out, CSI: NY looks set to be cancelled, while the fates of Golden Boy, Rules of Engagement and Vegas are still TBD. These renewals come on the heels of the network renewing CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS and The Big Bang Theory. In addition to its scripted line up, CBS has also renewed 48 Hours, 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, Survivor and Undercover Boss.
TVWise’s Broadcast TV Scorecard has been updated with this new information.
