UKTV has launched a new iOS on-demand app for its Dave channel, which will allow iPhone and iPad users to watch content from Dave on the go; including episodes of Suits, Argumental and Russell Howard’s Good News.
The app, which is free of charge, is available to download immediately on Apple’s app store. This on-demand app is based on the Dave on Demand VOD service which was launched last year and has been created specifically for use on iPads and iPhones, marking the first time that UKTV has made its programming available to viewers via either device.
“With the 12 million tablets currently in use in the UK increasingly becoming a primary device for viewing content, the Dave app makes our great programmes conveniently accessible to even more viewers, said Ben Hine, UKTV’s Director of Operations, Technology and Innovation. “Dave is the first of our free-to-air channels to have an iOS app and over the coming months we will be working towards rolling out apps for Yesterday and Really.”
