Sky Living has given the green-light to My Kitchen Rules, a UK version of the hit Australian format. The series has been give an order for ten episodes and in addition to ordering a UK version, Sky Living has also acquired the UK broadcast rights to the original series, which airs on Seven Network in Australia.
The UK version of My Kitchen Rules will be co-hosted and judged by Lorraine Pascale and will feature six couples representing England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with a real flair for cooking who will compete against each other to find Britain and Ireland’s most exceptional home cooks. The couples will first have to compete in their homes to see who can whip up the most mouth-watering dishes. Then the judges will put couples through a series of more complicated challenges catering for the public before facing elimination “cook offs” in the studio. Over ten weeks, their relationships, recipes, and cooking skills will be put to the test. There will be passion, tears and triumphs as they battle against the clock and each other to plate up outstanding menus and prove whose kitchen rules. The series will be produced by FreemantleMedia UK’s Boundless. The series was commissioned by Michele Kurland, Sky’s Head of Factual Entertainment
