Peter Riegert (Animal House) has joined the cast of Fox’s sitcom Dads as a series regular.
Dads, which received a six episode straight-to-series order, is multi-camera comedy which follows two successful guys in their 30s Eli and Warner (Tommy Dewey) who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them. Brenda Song also stars. The series is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Fuzzy Door Productons. The executive producers are Seth MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.
Riegert has been cast as David, Eli’s Jewish father. The character has been described as being “in his sixtties and a quiet monster of negativity.” Having spent his life being impossible to please, David finds that no one can tolerate his company. Riegert is repped by Buchwald Fortitude. His previous credits include Animal House, The Good Wife, The Sopranos and One Tree Hill.
