A+E Networks UK Posts Record Ratings In 2012

Pawn StarsA+E Networks UK – the joint venture between BSkyB and A+E Networks – has reported record breaking ratings figures for its History and Bio channels in 2012.

History, following on from a record breaking year in 2011, posted year-on-year ratings gains of 35%. Bio almost matched those results, posting year-on-year gains of 34%. The success of History was equalled in both Poland and South Africa, with both territories reporting recor breaking ratings figures. In Poland, History – buoyed by the success of Pawn Stars – posted impressive growth of 219%. In South Africa, where Storage Wars proved to be a big hit, the channel posted ratings gains of 45%. Also in South Africa, A+E’s Crime & Investigation Network moved to pole position in the Factual section of the MultiChoice EPG, increasing its ratings 32% in the last quarter of 2012.
