After initially announcing that the second season of A&E’s drama series The Glades would premiere on Tuesday January 29th at 9pm, Alibi has moved the UK premiere date for the show’s 13 episode second season up a week to Tuesday January 22nd at 9pm. No reason was given for the scheduling change.
Created by Clifton Campbell, The Glades follows the exploits of Jim Longworth, a Chicago homicide detective who, after being accused of sleeping with the wife of his commanding officer, moves to Palm Glade, Florida in search of the easy life. Longworth then joins the state police (the Florida Department of Law Enforcement) where he must tackle with the unusually high homicide rate in eastern Florida. The drama series stars Matt Passmore as Jim Longworth, Kiele Sanchez as Callie Cargill, Carlos Gomez as Carlos Sanchez, Uriah Shelton as Jeff Cargill, Jordan Wall as Daniel Green and Michelle Hurd as Colleen Manus. In the premiere episode of the show’s second season, the daughter of a notorious Cuban mobster turns up dead in a Little Havana alley, and Longworth and the rest of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement must solve her murder to prevent an all-out war between two rival mob families. Meanwhile, Callie (Sanchez) prepares for her husband’s release from prison.
