The 12 episode first season of MTV’s adaptation of The Inbetweeners (which was acquired by E4 back in September) will receive its UK premiere on E4 on Wednesday December 5th at 10pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.
Based on E4′s original series of the same name, The Inbetweeners was developed for US television by Brad Copeland and follows a group of friends who are “the inbetweeners” – not nerds or jocks, but kids who are smack in the middle of the high school social ladder. This group of teenagers are navigating high school and charging into adulthood the way everyone does by taking one step forward and three steps back. Whether humiliating themselves in an effort to impress the girl of their dreams, or mercilessly mocking their friend for driving a bright yellow clunker with a cassette player and one blue door, they are, whether they like it or not, the inbetweeners. The comedy series stars Joey Pollari as Will McKenzie, Bubba Lewis as Simon Cooper, Zack Pearlman as Jay Cartwright, Mark L. Young as Neil Sutherland and Alex Frnka as Carly D’Amato.
