Universal Channel Sets UK Premiere Date For 'Flashpoint' Season 4 – TVWise

The fourth season of Canadian cop drama Flashpoint will receive its UK premiere on Universal Channel on Monday November 5th at 6pm, TVWise has learned. Subsequent episodes will then air on weekdays in the 6pm time-slot. Due to a naming faux pas (explained more fully here) the show’s fourth season is being billed by Universal as season 3.
Created by Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern, Flashpoint follows an elite unit of the Canadian police know as the Strategic Response Unit or SRU, who take on high profile cases such as hostage situations, bomb threats and taking down heavily armed criminals. The drama stars Hugh Dillon, Amy Jo Johnson, Sergio Di Zio, David Paetkau and Enrico Colantoni. In the opening episode of the show’s fourth season, titled Personal Effects, Ed is rushed to the hospital after being shot and ultimately risks his recovery from gunshot wounds to be with his wife Sophie, who’s in the middle of a dangerously complicated labour. Meanwhile the rest of Team One hunts for Ed’s shooter, under the scrutiny of psychologist Dr. Toth (Victor Garber), who believes the team may have to be disbanded after too many high-stakes calls.
