BBC Series 'In The Flesh', 'Lapland' & 'The Syndicate' Line Up Guest Stars – TVWise

EXCLUSIVE: The upcoming BBC Three/BBC In House zombie series In The Flesh has booked a slew of guest stars for its first season. Susan Twist, Matthew Walker, Karen Henthorn, Amy-Joyce Hastings, Julien Ball and newcomer Stephen Thompson have all booked guest spots on the series. Created by Dominic Mitchell, In The Flesh is set in a small town in the north of England and picks up after a zombie uprising, just as rehabilitated zombies are being reintroduced back into society. Production on the series is currently underway in Manchester with BBC Three eyeing a 2013 premiere.
BBC One’s comedy series Lapland has also booked a pair of guest stars. Susan Twist and Eileen O’Brien, both of whom are repped by Jane Hollowood Associates, have landed guest spots on the series. Lapland, a continuation of the 2011 Christmas special of the same name, was recently picked up to series by BBC One with a six episode order. The comedy series centres on Eileen’s continued struggle to find her own peace and joy in life after losing her husband Ted, as often confounded by her hilariously self-centred children and loveable but trying grandchildren. The main cast includes Sue Johnston, Julie Graham, Elizabeth Berrington, William Ash and Dean Andrews.
Malcolm Scates has booked a guest spot on the upcoming second season of BBC One’s drama series The Syndicate playing a character named Dan. The casting of Scates comes on the heels of BBC One announcing the main cast for season 2 which includes Mark Addy (Game Of Thrones), Siobhan Finneran (Benidorm), Natalie Gavin (Shameless) Jimi Mistry (East Is East) and Alison Steadman (Gavin And Stacey). Scates’ previous credits include Coronation Street, The Inbetweeners Movie and Casualty.
