USA Network has broken their silence on the fates of their summer series. The cabler has renewed its original drama series Covert Affairs, Royal Pains and White Collar. All three series have ranked among the summer’s top ten scripted hours overall in cable in the 18-49 demo.
Covert Affairs will be back next summer with a 16 episode fourth season and White Collar will also be back with a 16 episode fifth season. Meanwhile, medical drama Royal Pains received a 26 episode/two season renewal which will see the show through its fifth and sixth seasons.
Speaking of the renewals, Jeff Wachtel and Chris McCumber. Co-Presidents of USA Network, said: “All three of these series have found ways to stay creatively fresh and culturally relevant. The execution in writing, acting and production is among the best on television. In an increasingly competitive landscape, these series got new season pickups the old-fashioned way — they earned it!”
