Sony Entertainment Television Acquires UK Rights To 'Will & Grace', Sets Premiere For August 6th – TVWise

Sony Entertainment Television has closed a deal with MGM to acquire the non-exclusive UK broadcast rights to all eight seasons of the NBC comedy series Will & Grace. The series is set to make its premiere on the channel on Monday August 6th at 5:45 pm, with a double-bill. Subsequent episodes of the series will then air on week-days at the same time.
Will & Grace was created by David Kohan & Max Mutchnick and follows the daily lives of Will (Eric McCormack), a gay lawyer working in New York city, his flatmate Grace (Debra Messing), a straight interior designer, who along with their two eccentric friends Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) provide an award winning combination of wit, style and knowing wordplay. The series featured a large list of notable guest stars across its eight seasons, which included Debbie Reynolds, Madonna, John Cleese, Gene Wilder, Minnie Driver, Harry Connick Jr, Jack Black, Sharon Osbourne, Geena Davis, Blythe Danner, Sydney Pollack, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson,Cher, James Earl Jones, Elton John and Debbie Harry.
