The first season of Lifetime’s short-lived drama series The Protector will receive its UK premiere on Alibi on Monday October 29th at 10pm, it has been announced.
The Protector was created by Michael Nankin & Jeffrey Bell and follows the life of Gloria Sheppard, a single mother and LAPD homicide detective who has to raise her two sons while simultaneously serving the city of Los Angeles. Things are complicated by her live-in, troubled younger brother Davey, while she’s aided at work by her ever capable partner, Detective Michelle Dulcett, and fellow Detective Ramon Rush. The drama series, which originally began its life as a CBS pilot starring Geena Davis in 2008, stars Ally Walker as Detective Gloria Sheppard, Tisha Campbell-Martin as Detective Michelle Dulcett, Miguel Ferrer as Lieutenant Felix Valdez, Chris Payne Gilbert as Davey Sheppard, Terrell Tilford as Detective Rush, Thomas Robinson as Leo Sheppard and Sage Ryan as Nick Sheppard.
