Exclusive: Following on from last weeks deals for subsequent seasons of Homeland and New Girl, Channel 4 has renewed its licensing deals for The Big Bang Theory, 90210, The Cleveland Show, Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23, How I Met Your Mother, The Big C and The Good Wife. I’m being told that the fifth season of 90210, the fourth season of The Cleveland Show and the second season of Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 are currently pencilled in to premiere on E4 in early 2013, while the sixth season of The Big Bang Theory and the eighth season of How I Met Your Mother are tentatively scheduled to premiere on E4 in late 2012. I’m also being told that both the third season of The Big C and the fourth season of The Good Wife are currently scheduled to premiere on More4 in early 2013.
ITV has also been busy locking down subsequent seasons of both of their US imports. The commercial broadcaster has renewed its existing licensing deals with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution and acquired the UK rights to the sixth (and final) season of The CW’s drama series Gossip Girl and the fourth season of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries for its ITV2 channel. I’m being told that both the sixth season of Gossip Girl and the fourth season of The Vampire Diaries are currently scheduled to premiere on ITV2 this autumn.
