The tenth (and final) season of CSI: Miami will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Saturday July 21st at 10:10pm, it has been announced.
Created by Anthony Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue, CSI: Miami follows the exploits of Lt Horatio Caine and his team of CSIs as they use the latest forensic techniques to solve crimes for the Miami-Dade Police Department. Produced by CBS Television Studios the drama series stars David Caruso, Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Jonathan Togo, Rex Linn, Eva LaRue and Omar Benson Miller.
The show’s tenth season, which runs 19 episodes, picks up immediately after the season nine finale which saw Horatio having been shot while Natalia was placed in the trunk of a car which was subsequently driven off of the edge of the pier, leaving her to drown as the car slowly sank to the bottom of the ocean. Horatio, with some help from his deceased wife, quickly overcomes the pain of his gunshot wound and dives in after Natalia. With his CSI safe, Horatio’s team sets their sights on re-capturing wanted fugitives Jack Toller and Randy North. After capturing Randy, the team learns that Toller has a new hostage: a young woman. Can the CSI’s track down Toller in time to save her life?
